New Ways for Families ® Coaching with the Online Class
New Ways for Families ® is a structured parenting skills method intended to reduce the impact of conflict on the children in high-conflict separation and divorce cases. The primary goal is to teach parents the skills necessary to effectively resolve co-parenting disagreements while remaining calm and protecting their children from conflict. The method emphasizes strengthening skills for positive future behaviors, rather than focusing on past negative behavior. The skills provided will support long-term co-parenting and keep parenting decisions out of the Court.
These classes can be completed voluntarily, be recommended, or mandated by the Court or other professionals.
As a parent works through the Online Parenting Program, live coaching sessions will provide opportunities to reinforce and strengthen the understanding of the 4 Big Skills:
Managed Emotions
Flexible Thinking
Moderate Behaviors
Checking Yourself
In our coaching sessions, we will role play scenarios on how to use each essential skill in your high-conflict divorce and co-parenting relationship.
